Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of country music from the United States. She was in 2007 when she released two singles, as well as an album titled Satisfied. She then formed a Pistol Annies group with Angaleena Lambert, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena. The group later debuted her second studio album entitled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe has been in public service for over fifteen years and has spent five years serving as deputy city manager in Iowa City. In her role as Assistant Village Director, she manages managing the Community Development and Building Department. The department is responsible for coordinating the grant application process and also completing specific projects. Ashley is accountable for running the day-to-day operations of Riverside Village and also for implementing the strategy and vision of elected officials. Ashley's previous roles included the planning of municipal services, public communications budgeting, management of personnel and collective negotiation. The focus was also on climate action. Through her involvement in local and national organisations as well as her work with communities with diverse populations, Ashley has gained insight on the complexity of differences and similarities with the way public institutions work. Ashley's courses concentrate on public leadership and management as seen from the viewpoint of a practitioner with experience. As well as providing an environment for both current and future practitioners Ashley focuses on the necessity of adapting today's strategic and ethical decision-making in order to address issues and capitalize on opportunities.
